During the Covid-19 pandemic (March 2020–December 2021), all architecture studios at CUET were held online. As restrictions eased at the end of 2021, Level 1 Term 2 students were given a hands-on opportunity to design and build five small brick installations in the abandoned garden at the entrance of Bangabandhu Hall. The project was a collaboration between the Department of Architecture and the Hall Authority, mentored by Asst. Prof. Amit Imtiaz and Lecturer Rahanat Ara Jafar.

Students used locally sourced bricks and materials, managing procurement and construction through direct engagement with local masons. The linear site, beside a pond and approach road, was divided into five sections for five student groups (Batch 19). Each group analyzed the site and proposed functional designs inspired by collective student memories and the need for open, healing spaces after prolonged isolation.

The resulting installations were titled: Ashon (Seating), The Curve, Arongo (A Place for Stories), Obak Bhromon (Muted Journey), and Goyna (Ornament).
